OUR HISTORY

In 2017, Mayhew Technology Solutions was born out of years of experiences by it’s owner and veteran Molly Mayhew across several service and product verticals and industries and Mayhew’s desire to combine and collectively utilize a diverse set of skills and knowledge with her passion for all things government business.  Additionally, Mayhew wanted to take advantage of the opportunities in federal and local/state contracting for veteran and woman owned small businesses.

Mayhew served in the United States Air Force for 14 years, from 1984-1998 as an Information Systems Manager/Radio Operator supporting long-haul, fixed based telecommunications systems and command and control communications.  Mayhew was a Subject Matter Expert in her career field, and was instrumental in the deployment of a high-frequency global communications system (HFGCS/Scope Command), as well as developing career field instructional and training materials, on-site project management, First & Second Article Testing (FAT I/II), coordination between sister service components around the world, and interoperability between systems, to include British Armed Forces.   Mayhew received numerous awards and recognition, both military and volunteer-related, with a highlight being an 3-hour incentive flight aboard the SAM aircraft supporting presidential requirements.

After honorably serving her country, Mayhew moved to Oklahoma and continued to support the USAF command and control mission as a systems contractor and co-owner of a successful 8a small business in Del City, Oklahoma.  Mayhew soon realized she could continue her commitment to the mission and drive her passion while learning how to drive a successful small business enterprise.  Mayhew was a leading member of the team who received the 1999 Tinker AFB Business Management Award, and the 2001 Air Force Productivity Excellence Award, and integral to substantial business growth between 1999-2003, including the award of over $10 million in contracts, and the hiring of over 300 personnel to support base administrative support services, accounting and administrative services, program and project management and professional consulting services for US Air Force, FAA, and other DoD components.

Through the years, Mayhew’s professional experience includes recruiting and staffing, proposal and pricing development, contract execution and management, as well as distribution and manufacturing of electrical and data communications products and materials, as well as sales and management of wireless services, systems, and personnel.  Mayhew is well-versed in the Science of Solution Selling, using her skills to deliver best in class solutions, as well as compete and win Verizon Wireless South Area B2B ICON Sales competition in 2013 – a feat realized after only five months with the company, and repeating the win in 2014 amongst several hundred B2B sales representatives.

Mayhew believed it was critical to connect with industry leaders and successful business mentors in order to set the right foundation for business growth.  In 2018, MTS became certified as a VIP certified Service Disabled Veteran/Veteran-Owned small business (SDVOSB/VOSB), a SBA certified Woman-Owned (WOSB), and a SBA Hubzone small business (HUB).  Additionally, MTS was approved for the SBA All Small Mentor-Protégé program, which provides a framework to receive mentoring and assistance over a 3 year period involving assistance in management and technical support, contracting, business development, and administrative support.

It was also important for MTS to develop and lead with best in class solutions, whether through teaming or subcontracting services agreements, or collaborating and teaming with industry leading distribution and manufacturer partners to provide products and materials to ensure delivery of an end-to-end solution to our customers that meets or exceeds their expectations for the right service or product, delivered at the right price, and at the right time – EVERY time.

Mayhew’s vision for MTS is to be known as a trusted and valued business partner who is defined by our fundamental values; act with integrity, provide quality services and products, and achieve excellence in every endeavor.

MTS realized a successful first year in 2018, winning projects with customers at the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Care System, the United States Air Force, an Oklahoma-based utility company, as well as providing government contracting consulting services to other small businesses.    Our services include design, deployment and test of wired and wireless infrastructures and systems, as well as fiber optic connectivity, providing access control, physical security, and audio-visual solutions, as well as facility support services, temporary staffing and consulting services, and materials and product procurements.
